Mom and I had a big trip. We flew all the way to Kentucky! It was my first time flying and I must say I'm a natural (I think I got my Dad's travel genes :). I just played and slept pretty much the whole time and didn't even cry once. It was a hard trip for Mom because we were there for the funeral of her dive coach Mike Lyden. After a hard fought battle with cancer, he passed away April 11th, 2008. From what she's told me he was a pretty amazing guy and she's really going to miss him. All her college teammates were there as well and it was really fun meeting them. They told lots of great stories about "Iron Mike" and their college days. Mike is actually the one who encouraged my mom to apply for an internship at Nike when she graduated so technically it's him I have to thank for my mom and dad meeting and having me!! :) Mike Lyden 1956-2008
