Can you believe it - it's snowing today!! I didn't think I'd get to see snow until next winter. Lucky for me when I woke up this morning there were big flakes coming down and the yard was covered in white! I think I like the snow better than the rain - it's pretty :)
Well I didn't do an Easter egg hunt or dye eggs (guess i'm a little too young for that :) but I did have a fun Easter Sunday! Mom and Dad got me all dressed up and took me to the Greek church. I guess it's tradition in the Greek church to do a 40 day blessing for new babies so today was my day! I was sound asleep in the back of the church hanging out Mom, Dad and Uncle John and didn't even realize that the Priest had come to see me and do the blessing. I woke up when Dad handed me to the Priest though and stayed WIDE awake for the whole blessing. He carried me all the way to the front of the church and everyone was smiling at me - so I just smiled back:) Mom and Dad were impressed that I didn't cry once - I was really enjoying all the attention! After church we all headed over to Helser's on Alberta Street for a nice Easter brunch. I didn't get to order anything but I did get my own placemat at the table!!
Now that there's a car seat base in the van (better know as Flash :) I get to ride in it all the time - it's soo fun!! I love to look out all the windows and mom likes to come back and hang out with me. It's easy to get me all bundled up to outside too because there is so much room (and mom can feed me easily too :). I think we'll go on some fun trips in Flash this summer - can't wait!
I went downtown today to watch daddy run in the Shamrock run. It looks like it's a really fun run - I guess mom usually runs it too but she decided to hang out with me instead :) We had a great time watching all the runners and cheering daddy on. Uncle John and Aunt Jennifer ran it too - so we got to hang out with them after the race was over. Daddy was pretty excited because he beat his time from 3 years ago by 5 minutes!! He sure is fast!!
Something was different when I woke up this morning ... it was RAINING!!! I was not very happy about it - and I made sure mom knew it too.. I cried all morning long!! -it took her a while to figure out why I wasn't happy - but finally she figured out that it must have been the rain (because she tried just about everything possible to make me stop crying!!). After a nice warm cozy nap in the wrap I decided it wasn't SO bad and cheered up a bit... Guess I'll have to get used to some rain around here... can't wait until the sun comes back out!!
I just love hanging with my doggies. They're pretty funny, especially the brown one - we always play this game where he tries to play with my toys and takes them from me - but I always win because mom and dad take it back from him and give it to me!! When we're not playing games they like to just hang out with me in my room - so that's cool too... I like it when they do that...
My bath was much more fun with this nice cushion that my Grandad and Miss Martha bought for me... I just laid there and hung out while they washed me - I didn't even cry the whole bath, can you believe it! Dad thought it was pretty funny to make a little bikini out of my wash rags... so I played along.
It's official, I'm ready to take the pitch for Glasgow Celtic!! Well maybe not quite yet ... (do they have a womens team?) Even though my uniform won't actually fit for another 3 months dad just couldn't wait for me to try it on... I guess this is what I'll wear when dad and I get up at 4:00 am to watch them play - can't wait!
Since it was so nice today, we hung out in the backyard for a while ... it was great, dad had a fire in the chimnea, we fired up the grill and the dogs were having fun chasing their ball. I can't wait until summer when we can bbq all the time!
We headed up Freemont today to Jim and Patty's ... mom and dad say this is the best place in town to get a good cup of coffee... oh yeah, and the coffee cake is pretty darn good too!! I wanted to try some because it smelled so good but they said I'm too young... sheez! maybe some day... :)
Check me out! I got to play on my activity gym today... it was great- I just laid there and kicked my legs for about 15 minutes. All these fun things were hanging over me and every once in a while I would knock them with my arms. My favorite one to look at was a picture of a yellow lab - it look just like Mazie! I like to stare at that one the best!
