1st Birthday!!!

Can you believe it?? I'm ONE! My parents can't believe how quick it went but I feel like a year is a long time!! I had a really fun birthday party, lots of my friends came over to hang out and play... I think it was the most number of friends I've ever had over at one time!!
I even had my own birthday cake :) Everyone gathered around the table and sang me the best birthday song I've ever heard!!! I didn't quite to know what to make of it!! I did get a little upset when my dad blew out the candles (but that was because my fingers got pinched between high chair and table!!)... it took me a bit but I did decide to dig into a cupcake and it was pretty tasty!!! yummy!

And even though I asked for no gifts... I got lots of AWESOME presents!!! My Aunt Jennifer even made me a hand knit sweater (most impressive!!!)... and Tim made me my own building blocks... Bailey helped me open them since I haven't quite mastered unwrapping yet.. so I was lucky to have a helper :). See more pics here

Baptism montage

Well, Mom's can't see to figure out why her song won't play with this slide show... it really adds a nice touch, but oh well, what can you do.. here's the slide show sans musica...

My baptism!

Wow, what a weekend I had!!! I was officially baptized at the Greek Orthodox church this weekend. Lots of my family and friends came to watch and be a part of my special day which I loved. My Noona Trish (Godmother) even flew in from Maryland with her mom Mrs. Mary (my mom's Godmother) and Aristea (my mom's Goddaughter).... It was Mrs. Mary's first time on a plane so I felt pretty special that she came all the way here to see me!!

The baptism was fun and I was all smiles for a bit but I did start to get a little hungry and tired towards the end (it was an hour long you know...!)... they covered me in olive oil and dunked in water 3 times and that kind of put me over the top!! I was a trooper though and made it through no problem but I was ready for a nap!!



After my 3 dunks they dressed up all up in this fancy white dress (bonnet and all!) not quite me usual look but I did look pretty :) At the end all my friends came up to walk around the alter with me...I think that way my favorite part! :)

Showing them the sights...

Since Mrs. Mary has never been to Oregon we had to do one day of touring... We took to her Edgefield for lunch then went the scenic highway to the Columbia gorge - the fog even lifted around 2:00 so we could actually see the gorge!! Of course we had to show her some of Oregon's beautiful waterfalls as well... so we went by a few and finished off the tour at Multnomah falls - it was a fun day and I think everyone enjoyed the sights!!

I love me some spaghetti!
