my summer sitters...

So mom had to go back to work this week (which she was not too happy about...) so Yiayia and Papou have come to take care of me for the summer! So far it's been great, Yiayia seems so excited to play with me and she even loves to change my diaper! So I try to keep it interesting for her and suprise her with a few good blowouts from time to time (like the kind that leave more of a mess on my onesie then in my diaper :). And Papou has given me some great tips on how to take nice long naps (see picture below) so I've been sleeping lots during the day which is great because I'm well rested for mom when she comes home from work and get to play and hang out with her all night :). She seems to like that so I'm going to try to keep it up... we'll see! It's great having Yiayia and Papou take care of me while mom's at work, I hope they stay for a while!!

So I've been working on a couple new tricks... sitting and standing. Check me out just chillin' on the couch all by myself - it's pretty fun. Every once in a while I sort of topple over but my mom and dad just prop me back up again and i'm good to go :) I love to stand too... I always smile really big when I stand and look really proud of myself :)

Dad and I worked on my football skills this morning - gotta get on it early if I'm going to be the first girl to play for the Glasgow Celtic!!

fun and games

I play lots of fun games with my dogs - especially Bruno. One of them is "how long can I keep the rattle on my foot before he takes it off and plays with it". He really like this game... first mom puts the rattles on my feet and I kick my feet all around so they make lots of noise... then Bruno comes over and slowly slides one off my foot. He really likes this part because he always run around in circles with it in his mouth and gets really excited. Next mom or dad ask him to drop it, which he does, so they pick it up and put it back on my foot. Then we do it all over again!! The other game I play with him is when I try to kick him in the head to see if he'll wake up. This is fun for me but I'm not sure if he likes it as much because he just lays there :)

Every morning mom lets me play with some of my toys and lately I just love hanging out with my monkeys!! I have 2 of them and they're both super fun. I like to hug them, tug on them and really like talking to them. No matter what I say they just smile back at me :) They must think I'm pretty funny or something. Sometimes I even stick my tongue out at them to see if they'll do it back, but no such luck.

Happy Mom's Day :)

I guess today was Mother's Day or Mom's Day as dad likes say. We had lots of fun. Mom and Dad took me on a fun hike near Mt. Hood. The trail was a little covered in snow so we couldn't do the whole hike (because for some odd reason it never occured to mom or dad to pack snowshoes!) But I still had lots of fun and I think mom did too! We went to this great brew pub in Hood River afterwards that had the BEST pizza (from what I hear :). Oh yeah, and the beer was pretty good too!

All dressed up...

Can you believe it.... mom put me in a dress!!! Well it was for a good reason... my cousin Leo got baptized. Everyone else was dressed up so I wanted to look cute too. I got a little tired and slept through the baptism but I rallied for the post party :) Didn't want to miss out on too much of the fun!! .... I must admit I do look pretty cute in this little get up!! Me and my cousins...

We had a fun trip to Denver last weekend! I got to hang out with my cousins Leo and TJ for the first time. They were really fun. TJ was so nice to me and even told me I was cute! Now Leo on the other hand he was more interested in grabbing my face which as you can tell in the photo I wasn't too happy about!! I also got to meet my Uncle Andrew, Aunt Dena, Uncle Alex, Aunt Pat, Uncle Mike, Aunt Donna, and Cousins Nick, Mao and Mike. Whew!! They were all so fun and I loved meeting all of them. I can't wait until I get to see them again!! I also can't wait until I can keep up with TJ and Leo :) I think they're going to keep me busy!! Oh and Yiayia and Papou were pretty much in heaven the whole time because they got to have all their grandchildren together in one place!
