Guess what, I got to fly on a big jet this weekend!!! I was soooo excited to fly on the plane, I was telling everyone about it. I LOVE watching planes so when daddy told me I was going to fly with him to Texas I got really excited. I've flown a bunch of times before but this time was different because I got my OWN seat!! I'm such a big girl now... check out my wings - pretty cool huh?
An attempt to keep up with our travel adventures, road trips, and day to day ups and downs.. life goes by too fast.. want a way to capture the moments along the way... :)

Check out my baby sister....
I'm pretty proud of my baby sister these days... it seems like every day she's figuring out a new trick (of which I like to credit for of course :).... First I taught her how to grab her feet... This was one of my favorite things to do so I wanted to be sure she learned how to do it too :).

Then I taught her to sit up in the Bumbo - it's never to early to work on good posture!
Then I showed her how to roll over (OK - so she figured that one out on her own....). She's pretty much mastered rolling from her back to her belly... now the only problem is that she can't get back to her back! (which is where she likes to be so she can grab her feet of course :). She does seem pretty proud of herself though - and I don't blame her, it a big milestone! GO Caits!
Oh yeah, and I can't take all the credit - my Papou taught her a new trick too... he showed her how to do raspberries - which she LOVES to do...and does them all the time now, it's pretty silly... way to go Papou :)

Good times at the Northwest String Summit
I had lots of fun just running around our camp site playing with all my friends that were there. I spent lots of time driving everyone's vans too... i drive ours all the time so figured I should check out the rest of them and see how they measure up :). I think our group had a total of 6 camper vans, 1 car with a tent on top (really!) about 5 tents, and a yurt! It was such a fun group to hang out and listen to music with all weekend long!! Our location was pretty stellar too, we even had a peacock wander through our campsite! I feel pretty special that my mom and dad have such great friends with awesome kids for me to play with!!! They think they are pretty lucky to have such great friends too!
Here's a couple shots from the weekend and slideshow to boot!
For the really good pics you should check out this Flickr link with my dad's shots - they're awesome! NWSS on Flickr.

Caits - 4 month check-up
Caitlyn had her 4 month check up this week!! She's definitely growing fast and seems sooo big already!! She weighed in at 15 lbs even (which is 75th percentile) and measured at 25.5 inches long (that 90th percentile!). I think at this point i was about the same length but weighted 15 lbs, 7oz... so she's close but I apparently had just a tad more padding than little Caits at her age :).Ready...Set...GO!!!

Caught in the act...
I didn't know it but my mom caught some "secret" footage of my singing the other day... My dad brought home this awesome little bongo drum from Africa and I just love to sit and do mini "concerts" with it. Here's a few of my soon to be hits. :)
Act 1: I'm a little tea pot.
Act 2: Wheels on the bus
Ace 3: Do Do Do (A Sophia original :).

Caitlyn...4 months old!!

Wow - can you believe it, I feel like Caitlyn was born like yesterday but she's already 4 months old!! She smiles all the time and tries to stand alot too....(even though she REALLY can't stand yet but she thinks she can!). I think her favorite thing is when I sing to her:) She really seems to like it and gives me these big smiles... :).
She getting really good at tummy time too, she doesn't really bang her face on the ground any more so that's an improvement! She tries to crawl too. She can't really get her head up enough to move forward but her legs are going strong and her but is way high in the air... I'll bet she'll be "scooting" before we know it!

All Comers Track meet!
It's official - I've participated in my first track meet! At first I was little overwhelmed by all the other 2 and 3 year olds racing down the track but with a little help from my friend Bailey and her mom Amy, I made it across the finish line! Caitlyn was a pretty good cheer leader from the side line too.... Maybe next week I'll actually run WITH the other kids instead of waiting to they are all done before I go :). I also got to try the shot put (aka softball throw) and high jump but I think the best part was playing in the dirt with Bailey.
After the track meet we walked back to Bailey's house and had pizza on the front porch. It was such a nice night and I think EVERYONE was happy to have the weather be nice enough to play outside all night long!!
