LIVESTRONG Challenge

I went out to the Nike campus today to cheer on mom and dad as they ran in the LIVESTRONG challenge. It was a great event and for a good cause (to unite in the fight against cancer.) I hung out with Yiayia and Papou while they ran and cheered them on as they came through the finish line. . It was fun watching it but I think next year I'm going to participate as well. (Forget this spectator stuff!)... It was a beautiful day for the race and we topped off the morning with some great bagels at Kettlemen's. (Mom and Dad have been trying to check that place out forever.. according to them it was super good!!)

Sam came over today for a little bit to hang out with me and it just made my day!!! He was really trying to impress me I think. He was rolling back and forth from his belly to his back over and over again and spinning around like it was nothing. I'm still working on the whole roll over thing so it was good to have him around to give me a few tips. We had fun playing and even shared a toy!

4 month check up!

Well - I had my 4 month check up today! I weighed in at 15 lbs, 7 oz and am 26 inches long. Guess that puts me in the 80th % for weight and 90% for height. Mom and Dad were getting concerned that was turning into a little chubs but I guess I'm at a great weight :) All in all I'm one healthy kiddo!!

Fun on Mississippi

This weekend was the Cirque de Cycle on Mississippi - it was really fun. We got to see all these crazy bikes in a "parade" of sorts and then a bunch of really fast bikes went flying by over and over again. I think they did like 100 laps or something!! It was great just hanging out with everyone too... I had lots of fun making silly faces with Uncle John and Aunt Jennifer. Bailey and I had a good time playing too... She's always really nice to me - can't wait until I can keep up with her!

My new fav things to do

Check out my new favorite things to do. Sticking out my tongue and grabbing my feet! For the past two days I have had so much fun making people laugh just by sticking out my tongue!! And I've figured out that if I stick out my tongue they'll stick theirs out back at me... it's pretty funny!! And I've also been perfecting my "happy baby" yoga pose... I've even managed to pull off my socks a couple of times!

I got my first glance at the Columbia River Gorge up close and personal today... it was awesome!! We hiked for a LONG time but it was worth if for the view... I was amazed by all the big trees and loved being in the great outdoors... I'm glad they brought me with them!

This is going to be fun...

Well I haven't quite figured this contraption out yet but I think it's going to be fun. So far I just kind of hang out, turn side to side, and get lots of kisses from the dogs. I think soon I'll be jumping up and down and having lots of fun!! Mom and Dad seem to get a kick out of me playing in it too so that's good. I like it when I make them laugh :)

Daddy's Home

Daddy went on a big trip. He's was gone for 12 days and it felt like FOREVER!! He went to England, Scotland, and Spain... sounded pretty cool - I hope I get to go to all those places someday!! Scotland was really fun for him because he got to visit old friends of his and tour around Ellon which is the little town he grew up in. He told me he would take me there someday... I can't wait, maybe we'll even get to see a football match!!

my summer sitters...

So mom had to go back to work this week (which she was not too happy about...) so Yiayia and Papou have come to take care of me for the summer! So far it's been great, Yiayia seems so excited to play with me and she even loves to change my diaper! So I try to keep it interesting for her and suprise her with a few good blowouts from time to time (like the kind that leave more of a mess on my onesie then in my diaper :). And Papou has given me some great tips on how to take nice long naps (see picture below) so I've been sleeping lots during the day which is great because I'm well rested for mom when she comes home from work and get to play and hang out with her all night :). She seems to like that so I'm going to try to keep it up... we'll see! It's great having Yiayia and Papou take care of me while mom's at work, I hope they stay for a while!!

So I've been working on a couple new tricks... sitting and standing. Check me out just chillin' on the couch all by myself - it's pretty fun. Every once in a while I sort of topple over but my mom and dad just prop me back up again and i'm good to go :) I love to stand too... I always smile really big when I stand and look really proud of myself :)
