Trampoline tricks...

So Caitlyn and I have been watching lots of gymnastics these days and we've been "inspired" to try some new tricks on our trampoline...  here's a highlight real of our favorite tricks...

oh and do you like our leotards?  they match :)  after watching gymnastics we both ran up and changed into leotards - they help us do our tricks.  

 

When I root I root for the Timbers..!!

Well it was opening day for the Timbers and according to my dad it was a first in Portland, no rain for the opener!!  Guess the Timbers Army wasn't expecting it and were prepared for the rain!  I thought the sign was pretty cute (I liked her dress :) - do you recognize her?

I have a new favorite player too - his name is Diego (he's new this year and scored the first goal!!)  I really just like his name because there's a character in Dora the Explorer named Diego :)

Happy Birthday to Caitlyn!

Can you believe it... Caitlyn is 3 years old!!  I remember when she was born... and was a tiny little baby ..and now look how big she is!  She really wanted a green tinkerbell cake for her birthday so mom took a stab at it.... have to say she pretty much made Caitlyn's dream cake!  She was a good helper too (if you count licking the mixers a good help ?)

She had a really fun birthday - we went to her favorite spot - the climbing gym!!  Lots of her friends came who had never been there before and discovered their monkey climbing skills (i think their favorite part was the slide down though :)

I figured I might tell you some things about Caitlyn that would be fun to know now that she's 3..

let's see...  

1. she never stops moving (flipping on the couch, jumping the trapoline, jumping on mom and dad, twirling her dress... the list goes on)

2. she takes good care of her babies (most of the time) - takes them for walks in the stroller (around the house), puts them down for naps, rocks them to sleep.. and then there is the occasional toss down the stairs ...oops!

3. She loves to be naked - pretty much every day after school she comes home, takes off all of her clothes, puts on her tinkerbell dress and is ready to play (she says she doesn't need underwear because her dress covers her bum)

4. She's went sledding on her own for the first time (down a big hill backwards!)

5. She likes to play soccer, play "catch" with basketballs, and do "gymnastics" (especially doing flips on the trampoline, swinging on the bars, and walking on the balance beam)
6. She has a really big sweet tooth and a really small "meat" tooth (still does not like meat - except for a good hot dog if you count that :)
7. She always take her shoes off in the car (and I think it drives mom and dad crazy!!)
8. She loves to wear these dress up shoes with heals that sounds like "clip clop... clip clop" (which really drives dad crazy)
9. She's pretty much obsessed with puzzles and they about the only thing that keep her focus for more then 5 mins (she's pretty good at the too!!)
10.  She's ALMOST figured out how to ride a 2 wheel peddle bike!!  she can make it go, but can't make it stop quite yet.. hopefully that comes sooner then later...haha!

I'm a big 5 year old!!!

Wow, can you believe it...   I'm a big 5 year old!!  My birthday was on Thursday this week, so I got to celebrate with my school friends.  Everyone dressed up for my bday and I brought in my favorite song so we could all have a dance party (Keep on Rockin' in the free world of course!).  Then, my favorite part of the day, I brought in ice cream sandwiches as a treat for my whole class (if dairy free ice cream sandwiches count?)  

Then came party time...  I really wanted to have my party at my house this year.. so after much convincing, my mom and dad caved and invited 10+ of my friends to my house for some Pinkalicious fun :)   We were a bit nervous abou the dogs and how crazy they would be so they hung out in Flash (our van) which they didn't really seem to mind, although I think they thought it was road trip time (hopefully soon Mazie and Bru, soon...)

So what did i do for my party I bet your wondering...?  Let's see, we did some crafts, played in my room, put on dresses, ate pizza, decorated cup cakes and ate cake of course!  (And pretty much ran around like crazy most of the time... turning lights on and off was a bit hit too...)  One my favorite things was decorating my cake with my mom, we tried to make it look just like Pinkalicous' wand... can you tell?

Oh yeah, and another favorite part... face painting!!  Amy and Katie brought their face painting kits and   painted butterflies on our faces..  this was a hit :)

Sledding on Mountain Hood

We decided to head up to "Mountain Hood" and do some sledding.  I usually get a little nervous to go sledding and tend to opt out but I had a talk with my mom before going up about how much fun I could have if I was brave and tried sledding even though I was scared... So after a few trips down with mom and dad I decided I would go it alone.. and guess what?  Turns out it's a ton of fun!!  I like when I go by myself.  I went down over and over again and even got to be pretty good at pulling the sleds up for the next go round..

Caits had fun too if you can't tell, she told me she wants to "go it alone" next time - we'll see!  I want her to ride my lap though so maybe I can talk her into that too :)  She got the "easy" way up the hill though with dad doing all the hard work... lucky girl!

Lil' Kickers... week 8

So, we've been taking soccer for about 8 weeks now and I think were ready for the big leagues!!  (well, if the big leagues involve foam snakes) 

We don't actually play soccer games yet, but we do shoot goals...  (while getting cheered on "Go Sophia Go")  I dribbled the ball all the way across the field to the goal and shot it square in (with my left foot of course).  Think I'm ready for game time!

In this game we run around and try not to get hit by the snake... of course I went right for Caits and tried to tag her...  But then it was her turn to have the snake and I thought she was going to come after me but turns out she ended up getting a bit distracted and I got to run free  (shocking right?)

As you can see I like to help Caits out when I can... although she doesn't need much help, she hangs with the best of them!
