Caitlyn the Climber

Caitlyn has figured out this little toe hook move this past week and now she's pretty much obsessed with climbing anything and everything! The toy bin, coffee table, my bed, the couch.. you name it - she tries - and for the most part she succeeds!

I've pulled together a couple clips just to give you a taste of what she's up to these days. Oh yeah - and her favorite game... climb up to the top of the couch - hang out there for a second or two - then dive down onto the seat of the couch. She could do this ALL DAY LONG!! (I think she got mom's "diving" genes hehe :)

Weekend walks

Well, everyone seems to have been sick around here lately so we've been keeping it pretty chill on the weekends and giving everyone (well, really mommy and daddy) some time to rest up and get better! One thing we all like to do is go walk the path by the airport. Daddy and I like it because you get to watch planes take off and land. The dogs like it because they get to run and play in the water. And mommy and Caitlyn like it because it's a nice and sunny scenic walk (when the sun is out:). It's pretty much a win win all around I'd say!


Since I'm getting so big (I am 3 now) I've been starting to walk Mazie. We work pretty well together for the most part, but from time to time she does tend to pull me along a little bit. I'm working on my "strong" voice so when I give her commands she listens but I don't think we're quite there yet :). Lucky for me, she's a good dog and takes it easy on me.

GO TIMBERS!!!

Well, I don't know if you've heard but the Timbers have gone big time! And their stadium is big time too! You should see it... they added lots of new seats, a new score board, made the field look all nice, and even stepped up the food a bit :). We got to go to an "open house" the day before their home opener and check out the new stadium and try out all their new food (Papou would have been all over this!).

I can't wait to come watch them play!! GO TIMBERS!!!

Out for some Fresh Air...

Caits and I decided to take the dogs for a nice walk along the river by the airport today... Caitlyn seemed to really enjoy it and I think Mom and Dad enjoyed having the afternoon off.... hehe.

Hitting the store...

Hitting the store is one of our favorite things to do!! I pretty much always go with mom to the store because she usually needs a little help and as you know, I'm a good helper :). I usually ride in the cart but I decided this last trip that I would be more of a help to have my own cart - that way we could buy twice as much :)

Caits and I had some fun "driving" the cart around New Seasons as well... actually - I did the driving - Caits did the honking!!

Caits - one busy bee!

I thought I'd take a little time to tell you about my little sister... She is one busy bee these days. She buzzes around the house getting into just about everything. Her favorite thing to right now though is stacking wooden rings. I think she'd do it all day long if you let her! She's also taken to my dolls a bit and I've caught her "taking care" of them from time to time. She also seems to like finding places to sit - she'll get up, sit down, get up, sit down... on and on and on... she seems to think it's quite fun (i don't really see it personally but to each their own!). The other day she even tried to sit in the pantry... but there's was nothing to sit on so she fell in butt first! Don't worry - big sister to the rescue - I pulled her out. I think she appreciated the help :)

Caits 1st B-day!

Guess What - my "little" sister - isn't so little anymore! She turned 1 this week... can you believe it!
I threw a party for her and it was pretty fun if I do say so myself :)

I invited lots of friends over so we could do it up and all sing her "Happy Birthday"!! We had loads of mac-n-cheese (my request :), a big cake of course, and finished the night out with a pajama dance party.

I told mom that we should have another party for her tomorrow :) Here's some "footage" of the party... little cake, lotta dancing :)
