Time for baby to arrive!

I've been pretty curious about the big bump on my mom's belly. I've figured out that it's a baby so I like to give it lots of kisses and hugs. Sometimes I even read it books :) By the size of things, I think it's going to be an actual baby soon!!!

I'm TWO!!

Guess What.... I turned 2 years old!!! I had a great birthday...a few of my best buds came over to celebrate with me :). We all played for a bit, had some yummy snacks and dug into some serious b-day cake!! My mom made a "Hungry Caterpillar" cake that turned into a butterfly :) It was super yummy... I had 2 whole cupcakes:)

So let's see now that I'm 2 I feel like I should tell you a few things about me...

I love to sing and dance to music - my favorite songs are "I"m a little bumble bee", "Twinkle Twinkle Little Star", "A,B,C,D...", "Ba Ba Black Sheep", "Old MacDonald..." to name a few :).

I'm starting to recognize some letters (mostly the ones in my name). I've also been starting to talk in "sentences" ... Or at least am putting 4-5 words together in some kind of logical way. I'm starting to count as well.. although I usually skip 4 and pretty much always end on 7.

I still haven't really decided if I'm left or right handed... I'm still trying out both to see which I like better :).

I pretty much always insist on going up and down the stairs by myself and am even starting to walk up them with just one hand on a wall.

I LOVE the moon and am pretty obsessed with airplanes. I've got an eagle eye for them and always point them out to my parents when they fly over... even when I can just hear them.

I just started sleeping in a big kid bed (well technically it's a toddler bed) and feel pretty grown up now :) I really like it because now when I wake up and I can go find mom and dad and hang out with them while they get ready in the mornings :) I find this to be pretty fun (although I'm not sure they do!!).

Ok, enough about me... pretty soon I'm going to be a big sister so you'll get to hear about both of us!

Bath time fun with Bru

I love bath time and usually won't get out of the tub even when it's empty.... but it's even MORE fun when Bruno comes in to hang out with me :). I like to tease him with my fish toy which is pretty funny until he actually catches it!!

Park time with Dad

Dad and I went for a fun trip to the park today. I got to ride in the Burley trailer which was super fun!!!

Airplanes!

We went for a fun walk today out by the airport and I got to see sooo many airplanes land and take off.. it was super cool!! I think I'm beginning to follow in my dad's footsteps a bit with his obsession with planes... I LOVE airplanes!! As you can see I had fun running along the path too... I'm so fast!

some good reading

Well, as I continue to explore the potty, I've learned some new tricks of the trade thanks to Daddy! I've yet to really use the potty, but it's fun to hang out on it from time to time and get caught up on what's going on around town :)

And yes, this is me eating breakfast naked... (I really prefer no clothes these days). The bib was ok, but that was pretty much all I needed.... mom and dad really seem to like this phase I'm in now (just ask them how much fun we have!).

I've also been starting to explore the potty a bit... at first I really didn't want to get on it at all (I have been teaching my doll how to use it though - she even wipes AND flushes). But I thought I should be a better example for Dolly so I decided to sit on the potty too. The first time I just sat on it in my jammies, but since I've discovered how to take my pants off - which is one my favorite things to do now!

Then I figured out how to unbutton my onesie and take my diaper off too (which mom and dad just love). So since my I pretty much half naked all the time, I've been sitting on the potty with no diaper on too. And guess what.. One time I even tinkled!! You've gotta start somewhere right?

Kickin' off 2010

Well, I've been keeping busy in 2010 (And keeping mom and dad busy too!) I LOVE my new table and enjoy having tea parties and coloring on it :) I have lots of tea parties, mainly with the dogs :). I think I gave them the wrong idea though because one day they ate my tea pot !! I think mom is working on a replacement for me (I hope!!).

You might also notice that I got a little bit of a haircut. Since my bangs were pretty much in my eyes all the time mom and dad finally decided to give an a little trim. I guess dad cut my bangs a "bit" shorter than mom was thinking but I think they look just fine and have gotten lots of compliments on my new do :)

I also discovered my awesome backpack that I got as a gift last year... it fits me perfectly now!! It's pretty cool huh? it's from Peru!

Road trip days :)

I got my first taste of a true road trip over the holidays... My mom, dad, and I piled in the car with Mazie and Bruno and headed west... Destination: Colorado.

We made it in 2 days on the way there but had to make it a 3 day trip on the way back because we ran into a bit of bad weather and couldn't drive as far each day (that's what they said at least, I didn't really know the difference... I think they said I was "oblivious" which might have been a good thing!). It was all the same to me, all I know is that I got to hang out in a hotel one night which was pretty fun. My favorite thing to do was put leashes on both pups and take them for a "walk" around the room. They never really seemed to want to go in the same direction though which made the walks a bit difficult...

Since we logged some serious hours in the car I had to get creative on how to keep myself entertained... here's a few things I came up with...

You can read your doll a book...
You can make hand puppets out of your socks...
You can figure out all the ways to wear a diaper (as a hat is my fav...)
You can figure out all the ways to wear a vest...
You can play hide-and-go-seek...
Sometimes you just gotta hang...
and of course you can always sleep :) zzzzzzzzz....

Can't wait till our next road trip!!! Maybe we'll be able to take Flash next time :)
