One more trip to the Pumpkin Patch!

We had to do one more trip to the pumpkin patch because dad couldn't come with us last time since he was out of town... AND we had to get pumpkins big enough to carve :) We did the corn maze, saw some farm animals, took a hay ride AND picked out 3 perfect pumpkins :) It was super fun... I think my favorite part might have been the hay ride!! And... well, the maze was fun but I did do a face plant in the mud and get it all over myself... that part wasn't quite so fun :(

Pumpkin Patch Fun

We had such a fun day today! We went to the pumpkin patch and I picked out my perfect pumpkin... There was also this big one that I loved but I just couldn't figure how to pick it up so I went with one a little more my size :) It was also pretty fun to run and play in the hay!

Hunters and Gatherers

They say some are hunters, others are gatherers. I think I fit into the "gatherers" category :). I love going for walks and all the interesting things you can find along the way. Some of my favorite things to collect are leaves, sticks, rocks, and pine cones. The hard part is deciding what to put down so I can pick up the next thing!

Greek Fest 2009

We checked out the Greek Festival today! There were sooo many people there!! We had lots of yummy food. Let's see if I can remember what everything is called .... we had Triopitas, Spanakopitas, Gyros, Souvlaki and to top it off... Loukomades. YUM!!! We also got to see some Greek dancers. I was quite enamored by the dancers!!

The Swifts!

We had a super fun night watching the Swifts! Going to view the swifts pile into the chimney at Chapman Elementary is bit of Portland tradition. For about a month in September there are over 10 thousand Vaux's swifts that sleep in the chimney so around sunset they all circle above then funnel in for the night. There were LOTS of other kids there and they were having lots of fun sliding down the hill on cardboard... can't wait until I'm big enough to do that!!! The birds flew super fast around in circles and somehow ALL fit in chimney!! I liked pointing them out to everyone and saying "birds". I'm so smart!! :)

My week with Yiayia and Papou!

So my parents decided that they needed a little vaca so they took off for Hawaii and I got to stay home with my Yiayia and Papou!! We did so many funny things together! One day we even got to play "hookie" from school and went to the park :) The best part was that I got to take my baby stroller with me :) I also let the trees know how much i love them by giving them big hugs!!

Let's see, another day we hit up the Portland Children's museum which was so fun! I can't wait to go back. We also got to visit with lots of friends. One day we had dinner with their neighbors, another night we went to my friend Bailey's new house to check it out before they moved in. I also got to hang with my friend Chloe one night when we went to a Greek dinner at a friends house. For that dinner, they even bought me a nice new dress and sweater - don't I look cute!

We kept so busy I didn't even realize my parents were gone (at least that's what I told them so they don't fee guilty :). It was a super fun week!!

Grandpa came to visit!

I've had sooo many fun visitors lately. First Granny, and then Grandpa! I'm a pretty lucky girl :)
I had lots of fun hanging with Grandpa... we saw lots of planes while he was here. One day we went for a walk on the bike path by the airport and saw all these really loud jets take off... I think it was the Thunderbirds who were in town for the air show. It was cool to watch them take off right over my head! ... I have to admit they did scare me a little bit and I would run to dad and Grandpa every time one came down the runway :).

We also went to the air museum and saw this HUGE plane called the Spruce Goose... ever heard of it? It's pretty legendary.. and we got to walk inside of it!

We had lots of fun just hanging in the back yard too... Grandpa taught me how to roll the ball to him and then catch it when he rolled it back. This was a pretty fun game, you should try it!!

Some of my cooler hair styles...

This is my skirt that I put on my head... I like to think of it as my "Chef's hat" :)

For a girl without much hair, this is pretty impressive right?
