Hood River Wineries

This was the last weekend I was going to get to spend with Yiayia and Papou for a while because it was time for them to head back to Colorado and see they other grandchildren. They have spent all summer with me so I guess it's only fair that I share them with my cousins :). I'll get to see them again in November for my Yiayia's birthday so I'm looking forward to that...!! We spent all day together on Labor day... we drove to Hood River and went to some wineries which was super fun!! One of the wineries had all these flowers with bright colors and fun patterns - I was amazed!! ... Next stop was Double Mountain Brewery - which, according to my mom and dad, has the best beer and pizza in town. Can't wait to try it!!! Then we drove home and since it was my parents 6th anniversary - Yiayia and Papou played with me and put me to bed while Mom and Dad went out for a nice dinner. I miss them already (and so does mom especially with Dad out of town!!!).

Brrr.. what happened to summer!?!

Man... it sure was cold out this weekend. We did a hike on Mt. Hood to Ramona Falls and Mom swore it was supposed to be sunny and 70's but it was like 45 degrees when we started the hike and I think it got colder as we went... !! I was still a good sport about it because I do enjoy the great outdoors and all but once it started raining I had enough!!! I made it pretty clear that I was done and wanted to go somewhere warm and cozy but I guess we still had a while to go before we got to the car... It was still fun though and once I got to the car I was happy again :)

Tom, Dick and Harry

Mom and Dad took me to Mt. Hood this weekend!! We did this great hike to Mirror lake and then up to the ridge (Tom, Dick and Harry). I'm in my cool new backpack... dad is super excited that I'm big enough for it!! I rode it in for the whole hike and it was nice to be able to look out and check out all the trees and flowers. Plus there's this cool cover that keeps me in the shade..
The view at the top of the hike was soooo cool!! I think it was the best view of Mt. Hood I've ever had!

Swim Lessons

I had my first official swim lesson on Monday! We played in the water, kicked our feet, tried to blow bubbles (unsuccessfully :) and floated on our backs. It was fun... I love hanging out in the water!!

The Bridge Stride

Mom, Yiayia and I walked 5 miles as part of the Bridge Pedal last Sunday... The coolest part was when I got to get out and look out from the top of the Fremont bridge!! ...although when I got a good look from the top I pooped my pants!!! So Mom had give me a diaper and outfit change on the bridge which she thought was pretty funny :)

Uncle John makes me laugh...

He's pretty silly and always seem to make me laugh ... I got to hang out with Uncle John and Aunt Jennifer at Kruger Farm the other night. It was really fun - great music, good food, and tons of kids!! I highly recommend heading out there on a Thursday night for one of the concerts there!!

6 months!!

Holy cow that went fast!! Can you believe I'm already 1/2 a year old...!! So a little update on me... I'm 17lbs 8oz and 26+ inches long which puts me at about the 80th percentile in weight and height.. I'm a "healthy" girl as they say (in other words I've got some chubs!!! :).

Let's see what's new... I've mastered rolling from side to side and have figured out that I can rock back and forth to get things out of reach... I can sit for a while all by myself (although can't quite get to sitting on my own quite yet...) and Mom and Dad finally let me eat some real food!! I've been hinting for a while now that I'm ready to eat some solid food but they held out to the 6 month mark... So first I had some rice cereal (which I think more ended up on my feet than in my mouth, but I Dad had fun feeding me none the less...:). Then I moved on to avocado! That was MUCH better than the rice cereal! Check out the video of my rolling skills and my first feeding...

I like to make music..

I've been going to these music classes and while I wouldn't say I'm a musician quite yet I can tear it up with some shakers!! (when they're not in my mouth that is... :)

did you notice...

that I'm sitting up all by myself in this photo! I need a little help getting to the sitting position but once I'm up there I can sit all by myself!! I was having lots of fun hanging out with Mazie - she always makes me smile.. i hope she likes me as much as I like her!!

i heart rasberries...

I think that's what it's called when you stick out your tongue and make this funny sound... whatever it's called, I love to do it!!! I think I embarrassed my mom the other day when we were in REI and I kept making this noise. Since I was in the Ergo, no one could see me so everyone thought it was in fact my mom making these noises... :)
