Mother's Day climbing trip

My mom and some of her friends love to climb so for Mother's Day weekend we headed to Smith Rock to play in the sun and try to do some climbing!

We had all sorts of fun riding and camping in the van, climbing on the rocks and most of all playing in the river (you gotta cool down somehow right?)

I think my mom had fun too she climbed super high and waved to us from the top!

I've been kind of nervous to climb on the ropes so I was takin' some time to learn (ie watch :). But I told my mom that I think I'm ready to practice just hanging in the harness - we'll start there :).

Art show!

We spend lots of time at school making beautiful art work... So our teachers had us do an art show!

I wrote a story about Mazie and painted a picture of her because I love her :)

Caitlyn made this BIG poster. She got to wear BIG shoes and stomp all over the paper. This was project was right up her alley!!

 Our class also worked together to write a whole book!    The "is" book.  We also got to choose an activity and act it out.. then we wrote our own page (and worked out the spelling of the activity ourselves too!)  Here's my page :)   If you like this - you'll love "When Harry met Coran"  that was our first book - i'll have to share it with you one day!

When I grow up... by Caitlyn

First hike of the year...

...to waterfalls! I was pretty proud of Caitlyn - she hiked the whole way! It was about 2 1/2 miles and we got to see 2 HUGE waterfalls!

Oh... And since we still had some energy to burn at the end we hit up this rock for some bouldering fun!

Tulips Galore!

We decided to play hookie on Friday and go play I'm the sun amongst the flowers :).

There were sooo many flowers - we had fun jumping from row to row and pretending like they were balance beams we could walk on.

Oh yeah.. And the cow train was fun too but my favorite might have been the rainbow sherbet!
