Burnt Lake Hike

Well, the weather has been super nice and we just had to get out of the house for a hike!!! We hiked Burnt Lake near Mt. Hood. It was pretty easy for me since dad carried me the whole way :). There was a cool lake at the end where the dogs got to swim (which they loved :) and I got to do some hiking myself!! You should have seen me navigate the rocks and tree roots!! It was a bit tiring though so I had a bit of snooze on the way back.

My visit with Jilly :)

We had a lots of fun this weekend!! My mom's good friend Jill (I like to call her Jilly) came to visit us!! It was my first time meeting her so I had to make sure I left a good impression :0). I think she was impressed with my vocabulary...I even learned how to say "flower" while she was here! We did lots of fun things but I think I had the most fun just running around the back yard and climbing up on the picnic table (which I have now mastered how to do :). We also went for a cool hike in the gorge on Saturday (but forgot a camera!!) and took a fun bike ride the farmers market Sunday.

I had so much fun each day that I fell asleep at like 6:45 Friday and Saturday night.. so unlike me but I think I needed the sleep!!

I'm 16 months old!

Well, so quick time goes, I feel like I just turned a year old! I just had a check up and I'm officially a 50% kid. I came in 50th percentile on weight (23lbs), height and head radius.

Thought I'd share a few things about me. Let's see... I have quite the vocabulary these days- to share a few of my "words": Nana (banana), Mae-mae (Mazie), No, uh-ooooh, bub-ble, baw (ball), hi, bye-bye, mama, dada, papa, dog, neigh (horse), moooo (cow). Those seem to be the ones my parents understand. I'm actually fluent in my own little language and give them an earful all the time- someday they'll catch on :).

I've also learned a few tricks- like how to "cheers" before taking a drink, and how to thump my chest like a gorilla (I'm REALLY good at that :). I'm also pretty good at walking up and down slopes. And I've figured out that when I'm hungry I can go get my high chair, push it into the kitchen and ask to be put in it... then Mom know for sure that I'm hungry!!

Oh yeah, and I should tell you that I really like dolls too:). Yes, I know hard to believe given my mom's history with dolls, but I do love to hug them, read to them and carry them around with me at school...
