I'm such a good helper :)

My first official road trip

What an adventure we had!!! Mom, Dad and I piled in Flash (our trusty VW Vanagon) and headed east... First stop...the Painted Hills, OR. They were really cool.. it was like somebody painted all the rocks with red and orange paint! We did a few fun hikes to check out all the rocks. My favorite one was in the Blue Basin. It was like a huge blue sand castle!


The next day we headed north, meandering our way through eastern, Oregon, taking our time exploring the back roads and enjoying the views. We saw lots of beautiful farms and animals along the way and had a great stop in a small town brew pub who served up a great IPA (according to my dad :).

First stop Saturday was Palousa Falls State Park. There was an huge water fall there and an amazing view of the snake river. We actually got to stand right above the water fall!!


Final Stop... The Gorge Ampitheatre in George, Washington for the Grateful Dead show! We met up with Uncle John and Aunt Jennifer before the show in the campgrounds (which was quite the seen!!) We even took a stroll down Shake down street :). Then it was show time... My mom and dad made me wear these huge pink headphones the whole show but I was still able to hear the sweet sounds of the Dead as they played into the night:)



It was super fun!! Can't wait until our next road trip :0)... maybe Mazie and Bruno will be able to come next time! Click here to see more pics from our trip!

Sweet Mother's Day

Sunday was Mother's Day!! And I can't speak for my mom but I think she had a pretty awesome Mother's day!!

Dad made breakfast for both of his "girls", then after a nice long nap we all went for a bike ride!!
I'm beginning to really like my bike seat.. and even my helmet is ok (I've learned how to lift it up so I can see :). We had a great cruise through the hood.... first to the new farmer's market close by which mom and dad seemed pretty excited about, then we had a great brunch at mom's fav breakfast spot Bumblekiss... even my meal was yummy!! Then I got to go to the playground- It's so fun to swing on the swings and go down the slide.. I even made some "friends" at the park...
Oh yeah, and dad got stuck with diaper duty :)

All in all is was a really fun day and mom even got to top off the day with a nice pedicure with Baily's mom - lucky her!

Tulip Festival

We headed out to the tulip festival last weekend.. it was so cool to see all the tulips - there were tons of them!!! It was great until it started dumping rain on us!! But we were still able to get some good pics and then head for cover...

Closets are so fun!!

I've been really into exploring all the closets in the house lately... at first I would just stand in front of them and find fun things to play with but I recently have taken it to a whole new level... :)

I was playing in the closet like I always like to do and discovered there was a ball the back of the bottom shelf!! Yes, I'm a bit ball obsessed right now :) So I just had to crawl back in and get it!!
